About the Role: The Highlander Group is seeking a detail‑oriented, client‑focused Tax Associate to join our team. In this role, you’ll help deliver exceptional, personalized tax preparation services while supporting a firm that believes tax work should feel human — not transactional. If you care about people as much as numbers, you’ll fit right in. Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for individuals and small businesses Build strong client relationships through clear communication and attentive service Explain complex tax concepts in a way clients can easily understand Identify opportunities to improve clients’ tax outcomes and long‑term financial well‑being Collaborate with a supportive team committed to integrity, innovation, and continuous learning Assist with administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations Requirements: 1–3 years of experience in marketing or a related role (preferred but not required) Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent attention to detail, organization, and multitasking abilities Curiosity, strong problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to accuracy Eagerness to learn and grow within the tax and financial services industry About Us: For more than 30 years, The Highlander Group has proudly served the Duluth community with expert, personalized tax consulting solutions.
