Histology Lab Operator I

Natera seeks a Histology Lab Operator I to support the Histopathology Department in Austin, TX. The role involves assisting with specimen analysis, performing histological preparations for tissue sequencing, and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified personnel with clinical patient testing following established standard operating procedures
• Perform histological preparations including tissue processing, slide staining, and macrodissection
• Set up equipment and support automated laboratory procedures with minimal errors
• Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and inventory in proper working condition
• Document information accurately per Good Documentation Practices and train new team members

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years related histology experience
• Associate degree or higher in histotechnician program or biological/chemical sciences
• One year histology experience within past 5 years OR nine-month histotechnician training completion
• US degree or equivalent required at hire
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with word processing and data management systems
• Ability to work collaboratively in team environment

Compensation: $19.54–$24.43 USD hourly
