This contract opportunity is perfect for candidates who value flexibility and thrive on collaborative work. With a commitment of just two in-person days per week, you'll provide crucial speech and language services to 1-2 classrooms in the Oroville/Paradise area. Candidates with experience in SLPA supervision are highly desired, allowing you to help foster the next generation of speech-language professionals. Virtual candidates are welcome to apply—this district has a history of welcoming travel professionals and is committed to innovative service delivery.
Preferred Background & Skills:
- Current SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Strong background in school-based speech-language pathology
- Experience or willingness to supervise SLPAs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and students
- Comfortable providing both in-person and virtual services
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop individualized speech and language interventions for students
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy into classroom activities
- Maintain accurate progress notes and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Offer mentorship and supervision to SLPA staff as needed
- Adapt service delivery methods to suit both classroom and virtual environments
