Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy setting. Create individualized treatment plans based on diagnosis, movement quality, patient goals, function, and clinical presentation. Deliver hands‑on, patient‑centered care focused on strength, mobility, balance, pain reduction, performance, and long‑term function. Progress patients safely through therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re‑education, therapeutic activity, and functional training. Educate patients about their condition, treatment plan, home exercise program, recovery timeline, and long‑term wellness. Document patient evaluations, daily visits, progress notes and discharge summaries accurately and on time. Communicate clearly with patients, families, referring providers, support staff and clinic leadership. Collaborate with clinic team members to support patient outcomes and clinic flow. Maintain a clean, safe, organized and professional treatment environment. Support clinic growth through strong patient relationships, quality outcomes and a positive patient experience. Take ownership of your patient caseload while contributing to a team‑centered clinic culture. Participate in clinical development, team communication and process improvement as needed. Skills Strong outpatient orthopedic evaluation and treatment skills. Clinical reasoning skills with the ability to adjust treatment plans based on patient progress. Strong knowledge of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, functional rehabilitation and movement‑based treatment. Ability to build trust with patients and create a positive therapy experience. Clear communication with patients, coworkers, referring providers and care team members. Strong time management and ability to stay organized during a full clinic schedule. Comfort with documenting in an EMR system. Patient‑first mindset focused on quality care, consistency and long‑term outcomes. Team‑oriented approach with the ability to work independently. Qualifications Active New Mexico Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one. Doctor of Physical Therapy degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred; new graduates with strong orthopedic clinical rotations are encouraged to apply. BLS or CPR certification preferred.
