Part-Time Research Assistant

Job Description and Position Requirements The AquaMetallurgy and Mineral Processing Labs are seeking a part-time Research Assistant to support Process Mineralogy and Hydrometallurgy Research. This position involves laboratory experimentation, technical analysis, data interpretation, and report preparation to support research in process mineralogy and hydrometallurgy. Details: Research Group: AquaMetallurgy/Mineral Processing Laboratory - Dr Thandie Moyo. September 1 - October 30, 2026. 18-22 hours/week. MS or Ph.D in Mineral/Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Prior experience working in Hydrometallurgy and/or Mineral Processing. Knowledge of Process Mineralogy will be an advantage. Background Checks/Clearances Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
