Ability to pay strict attention to detail. Key Responsibilities 70% - Hospital Operator/Dispatching 25% - Patient Health and Safety 5% - Administrative Support Department Overview Operator Services is part of the Plant Operations & Maintenance (PO&M) Department who has the responsibility to maintain UCDH buildings, utilities, and grounds at the UC Davis Health. The PO&M Department consists of approximately 150 staff members providing support to operations and maintenance of the hospital, clinical, medical education, research and administration buildings and grounds that includes 148 acres and structures that total 4 million GMSF. The Operator Services Unit receives approximately 70,000 incoming calls a month from patients, staff, and visitors. Receives and communicates accordingly Hospital Emergency Codes which include, but not limited to: Blue, Red, White Green, Rainbow, and Elopement adhering to UC Davis Health Policies and Procedures. Monitors and dispatches appropriate personnel to various alarms such as med-gas, elevator, and emergency generator. Dispatches PO&M skilled craft mechanics to appropriate locations in accordance with customer requests and emergent issues using 800 MHz radio, telephone, pager, cell phone and or text message communications. Receives afterhours patient calls for medical advice and pages to physician on call. Possess excellent customer service skills will providing clear and concise communications with department managers, employees, and Health System staff at all levels.
