Business Development Representative

About the Role

CYB Human Resources is hiring a Business Development Representative to build real, lasting relationships with the small and family-owned businesses we serve. This is not a one-time-sale role - it's relationship-first from the very first conversation. You'll be the person who opens the door, builds trust over time, and earns the right to introduce business owners to HR support that genuinely makes running their companies easier.

What You'll Do

• Conduct high-volume outbound outreach (calls, LinkedIn, email, webinars) to small and family-owned business owners
• Build and nurture relationships over time through consistent, thoughtful follow-up - this role is judged on relationship quality and consistency, not call volume or a quick close
• Book qualified discovery calls with our founder/CEO for the close - your job is the relationship and the introduction, not the sale itself
• Track every outreach touchpoint, relationship, and pipeline stage in HubSpot
• Represent CYB's relationship-first, HR-support brand in every interaction - never a hard sell, always a genuine connection

Requirements

Who We're Looking For

• Experience building strong, long-term relationships in a client-facing, relationship-building, or business development capacity - this can come from sales, but also from account management, hospitality, customer success, or anywhere you've had to earn trust and keep it over time
• Comfortable with high-volume outbound activity - you pick up the phone, you follow up, and you don't get discouraged by "no" or silence
• A patient, consultative communicator, genuinely curious about other people's businesses, not scripted or pushy
• Self-motivated and hungry, but with the patience to build a relationship over weeks or months rather than chase a quick win
• Understands, or wants to understand, what small and family-owned businesses mean to the people who run them

This is a real, full-time position with room to grow. Strong performers who prove they can build relationships and fill the pipeline have a genuine path to grow into full sales/closing responsibility at CYB.

Compensation: $25.00-$27.00/hr, plus commission
