Role Description The Assistant Wellness Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Galloway, NJ, responsible for supporting the oversight and coordination of resident health services. This role assists with developing and implementing care plans, monitoring resident status, and ensuring timely communication with residents, families, and healthcare providers. Day-to-day tasks include supervising wellness staff, supporting medication management processes, and helping maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and company standards. The Assistant Wellness Director collaborates with the Wellness Director to organize wellness programs, conduct assessments, and promote a safe, person-centered care environment. This position also participates in staff training, contributes to quality improvement initiatives, and helps address resident concerns with professionalism and empathy. Qualifications Clinical care and wellness management skills, including experience supporting care planning, resident assessments, and basic health monitoring. Leadership and team coordination abilities to help supervise wellness staff, provide guidance, and support a positive, collaborative work culture. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with residents, families, and healthcare professionals in a clear, respectful manner. Organizational and documentation skills to maintain accurate records, follow procedures, and support regulatory compliance. Knowledge of assisted living or memory care environments, with an understanding of person-centered and dementia-informed care approaches. Ability to work on-site full time, adapt to changing resident needs, and respond effectively in urgent or sensitive situations. Relevant healthcare or senior living experience (such as nursing, caregiving, or wellness coordination) is strongly preferred.
