Leave Administration Specialist

As a 1099 contractor, the Leave Administration Specialist will manage the end-to-end administration of employee leaves of absence in a remote capacity, ensuring compliance with applicable laws while providing compassionate support to employees throughout their leave experience. Key responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for employees navigating leaves of absence, offering timely and knowledgeable guidance Manage the full lifecycle of employee leaves, including intake, documentation, and coordination of return-to-work processes Partner with third-party leave administrators to ensure accurate case management and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Required qualifications 5+ years of dedicated leave administration experience supporting U.S. employees Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, CFRA, and other applicable leave laws Experience independently managing leave administration for a multi-state employer Familiarity with third-party leave administrators such as Sparrow or similar vendors Strong understanding of the intersection between leave administration, payroll, and HR operations
