Vice President Asset Management

Quest Group is actively recruiting for a Director or Vice President level of Asset Management for a rapidly growing Investment/Development firm in the Multi family and residential spaces. This role will be a "player/coach" and is a strategic leadership role responsible for maximizing the financial performance and long-term value of the company's multifamily portfolio. This individual will oversee asset performance from stabilization through disposition, partnering closely with development, acquisitions, finance, construction, and third-party property management companies to execute business plans that drive revenue growth, optimize operating performance, and enhance asset value. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (or Chief Investment Officer), the Vice President will lead the asset management function, directly managing two individuals, while influencing cross-functional teams and external operating partners. The ideal candidate combines institutional asset management expertise with strong operational leadership, revenue management acumen, and a proven ability to improve performance in both stable and challenged markets. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive asset business plans aligned with the company's investment objectives. Maximize Net Operating Income (NOI), asset valuation, and investor returns across the multifamily portfolio. Establish portfolio performance benchmarks and monitor financial, operational, and leasing metrics. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies, reduce expenses, and increase revenue. Lead quarterly asset reviews and present performance updates, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Develop and implement revenue optimization strategies across the portfolio. Drive rent growth initiatives while balancing occupancy, renewal retention, and market competitiveness. Identify underperforming assets and create targeted recovery plans to improve leasing velocity and revenue performance. Utilize market intelligence, competitive analysis, and pricing strategies to maximize revenue in challenged and competitive markets. Oversee ancillary income strategies and identify new revenue-generating opportunities. Leasing & Operational Leadership Provide strategic leadership for leasing performance across the portfolio. Partner with third-party property management companies to establish leasing goals, monitor conversion metrics, and improve sales effectiveness. Develop accountability measures around traffic generation, lead conversion, renewal performance, and resident retention. Collaborate with marketing teams to optimize digital marketing, brand positioning, and leasing campaigns. Champion a performance-driven leasing culture focused on customer experience and occupancy optimization. Third-Party Property Management Oversight Serve as the primary executive liaison with large national and regional third-party property management firms. Establish performance expectations through KPIs, service standards, and operating benchmarks. Conduct regular operational reviews with property management partners. Hold management companies accountable for financial performance, resident satisfaction, maintenance standards, and operational excellence. Evaluate management company performance and recommend changes when necessary. Cross-Functional Leadership Partner with Development during lease-up planning and stabilization. Collaborate with Construction and Capital Projects on renovation initiatives that improve asset performance. Work closely with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and investment analysis. Support Acquisitions through operational due diligence and underwriting assumptions. Coordinate with Investor Relations and executive leadership on portfolio reporting and strategic initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Asset Management team consisting of two direct reports. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Establish performance goals, coaching plans, and professional development opportunities. Build scalable asset management processes and reporting standards as the portfolio grows. #J-18808-Ljbffr
