Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Home Health RN with skilled home care experience and OASIS training for a Florida-based skilled home care assignment.

Details

• Skilled home care setting serving Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients
• Performs 6-8 home skilled visits per day
• Day shift schedule with hours varying by office needs (e.g., Mon-Fri 8a-5p, Mon-Fri 9a-6p, or Thurs-Mon/Fri-Tues rotations)
• Alternating weekend shifts required
• Self-scheduling of visits and hours based on office needs
• Cares for patients requiring cardiopulmonary assessment, basic wound care, ABI compression dressings, wound VAC dressings, Pleurx/Aseptdrain care, foley catheter changes, staple/suture removal, glucometer and pro-time machine use, SQ/IM injections, venipuncture, IV skills, PICC/midline care, and SQ port access/deaccess
• Uses laptop, MiFi, and portable printers for documentation
• Documentation completed using BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet system

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required (private duty nursing experience alone not accepted)
• OASIS training and experience required
• IV skills and wound care experience required
• Experience with general medical diagnoses and high-risk diagnoses including HF, COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke
• Post-op care experience required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle for home visits
• Must be COVID vaccinated or have exemption on file
• Must have flu shot or declination, with mandatory mask wearing if declined
• Candidates with more than one completed travel assignment preferred

• Provides comprehensive in-home skilled nursing care including wound care, IV therapy, injections, and post-op monitoring
• Any solid color scrubs accepted
• Locals accepted at the same pay rate
• Former BayCare permanent employees must wait at least 12 months before returning as a travelers
