This position will support the F-35 Program at our Misawa AB, Japan location. As a Nose To Tail (NTT) FSE, the preferred candidate will be a subject Matter Expert (SME) in APG/Vehicle Systems (VS). It is desired the individual also be knowledgeable in Avionics/Mission Systems (MS) and Supportable Low Observable (SLO)/Structures, with the skill set to accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of MS, VS, or SLO. The candidate will act as part of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) technical interface to the USAF on-site Customer (both Operations and Maintenance) in resolving issues arising from maintenance and modification activities for all matters dealing with the F-35 aircraft.Responsibilities include:• Accomplish troubleshooting and analysis ofdifficulties experienced in the field.• Attend debriefings to aid in the rapididentification of emerging issues that requirecompany intervention to avoid aircraft downtime.• Document all unusual operation / maintenanceproblems to ensure the company is apprised ofand can identify emerging failure trends.• Initiate Action Requests (ARs). Identify uniqueoperational problems that require technical,procedural, or quality assurance actions toresolve. Provide on-site assistance to companyand customer personnel initiating ARs.• Provide training to customer personnel. Mustbe able to work and interact with the maintaineras well as the professional engineers from otherF-35 companies as a peer.• Some travel required; candidates must bewilling and able to deploy with customer topossible hazardous duty locations. Long termdeployments may be required. US Department of Defense (DoD) mandatedvaccinations may be required.• Applicant must be able to work andcommunicate well both orally and written in ateam environment as this position involvessignificant and continued interface with customerpersonnel at all levels.• Provide support for the assigned site on aircraftground maintenance and operational limitations.Direct on-site support as requested by customer,site manager or program management. Lead andtrack multiple engineering efforts and provideperiodic status to customer and programmanagement.• Selected candidate must be willing and able towork other shifts as needed.• Must be able to obtain F-35 Special ProgramAccess. Must have an active Secret SecurityClearance. Must be a US Citizen.
