Job Title Research Senior Associate – Physiology & Cell Biology Department Medicine | School Biomedicine Science Physiology and Cell Biology Location Pelotonia Research Center (1040) Position Type Regular Scheduled Hours 40 hours per week Shift Varying shifts Job Overview Research Senior Associate who designs, executes and manages research projects investigating foundational biological and health science research. The role collaborates with the Principal Investigator to develop and implement study goals, conceptualize and execute complex laboratory experiments, plan advanced molecular and cellular techniques, coordinate data processing and analysis, and develop new research methodologies. Key Responsibilities Design, execute, and manage research projects. Collaborate with the PI to set goals and objectives. Plan and execute advanced molecular and cellular techniques. Oversee data processing, analysis, and interpretation. Develop and implement research methodology and controls. Literature analysis and integration into research design. Write and prepare manuscripts for publication. Present findings at national and international conferences. Assist in grant proposal development and budgeting. Ensure laboratory safety and regulatory compliance. Train and supervise research staff. Manage laboratory operations and procure supplies and equipment. Provide technical assistance and supervise equipment maintenance. Minimum Education Required Master’s level degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Qualifications Master's degree or equivalent experience required. At least 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 1 year with a Master’s degree. Considerable experience in a biological or health research capacity is required. A doctoral degree in an appropriate field is desirable.
