Aerospace Tig WelderA well-established aerospace manufacturing company in Phoenix is looking for an experienced aerospace TIG Welder. You need to be detailed oriented, highly organized, creative, flexible and a great team player. Only qualified individuals need to apply.Your tasks and responsibilitiesPerforms advanced welding activities with minimum instructions and supervisionInterprets complex blueprints, manufacturing drawing and written work instructions, as well as reads and interprets AWS welding symbolsSets up welding equipment in accordance with the appropriate Weld Process Specifications (WPS)Completes weldments to the applied AWS welding code and blueprint requirementsPositions weldment details in location using fixtures, jigs, tape measure, square, rule, and caliper to meet blueprint, manufacturing drawings and quality requirementsObserves and practices safety procedures and policiesPerform and meet all Qualification requirements Per AWS D17.1/D17.1 (class A requirements) which includes qualifying to base metal groups: 4130, 17.7 PH, 718, and Aluminum Alloys, thickness and position for both groove and fillet welds.Knowledge and Experience RequiredHigh School diploma or equivalent experience5 years of experience in Aerospace weldingStrong understanding of Fusion welding procedures & processesMust have experience working with aerospace materialsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and AWS welding symbolsAbility to produce welds that pass a visual inspection and destructive testAbility to use measuring tools (tape measures, squares, rules and dial calipers)Basic math skills; must be able to perform conversions and basic calculationsKnowledge of welding machines and set upAbility to read, write and understand English.Must comply with Jager-2 Vision test complianceOffering top pay to candidate that meets all the requirements of this ad.ITAR COMPLIANCE: This position requires access to information, or technology, which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
