Job Title: Shipping and Extrusion Assistant Job Description

This role supports production and shipping operations by packing items coming off the extrusion line, assisting machine operators with material handling, and learning to run extrusion machines. The position plays a key part in ensuring products are properly prepared for shipment, inventory is accurately managed, and materials are safely moved to designated staging areas.

• Pack items coming off the extrusion line in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Assist extrusion machine operators by feeding material and ensuring a steady supply to the production line.
• Train on operating extrusion machines under supervision to support ongoing production needs.
• Move pallets of material to proper staging areas using appropriate equipment and following safety procedures.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including preparing items for shipment and helping with incoming materials.
• Perform basic picking and packaging tasks to fulfill orders and maintain workflow.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around the extrusion and shipping zones.
• Follow established processes and quality standards to ensure products meet required specifications.

• Experience with packing and packaging in a production or warehouse environment.
• Ability to perform picking tasks and handle inventory accurately.
• Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
• Capability to assist with feeding material into extrusion machines.
• Ability to safely move pallets of material to designated staging areas.
• Willingness to learn and train on running extrusion machines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to following safety and quality procedures.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials as required by the role.

• Prior experience in a manufacturing, extrusion, or warehouse setting is beneficial.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with machine operators and shipping staff.
• Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production and shipping schedules.

This role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse setting around extrusion lines and shipping areas. The environment is active and fast-paced, with a focus on meeting production and shipping schedules while maintaining safety and organization. Appropriate work attire typically includes practical, comfortable clothing suitable for a manufacturing floor and closed-toe footwear, along with any required safety gear provided on site.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monroe, OH.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
