JLC Learning Manager

Job Description
Job Description
Who We Are:
Mem Global is where Jewish young adults in their 20s and early 30s come to connect, explore, and create meaningful Jewish experiences with their peers. As the umbrella brand for our global suite of programs, Mem Global supports young adults as they bring Judaism to life through thousands of peer-driven gatherings across 25+ countries each year. We're all about creating spaces where Jewish young adults can lead, embrace, learn, and build the kind of community that will build a strong and vibrant Jewish future for all of us.
The Jewish Learning Collaborative (JLC), founded in 2021, enables and inspires professionals and lay leaders at Jewish organizations as well as individuals in the Jewish community to access Jewish text, thought, and wisdom through 1:1 learning sessions with relatable, diverse Jewish educators. We use data and educational pedagogy to support a growing marketplace of learners, clergy, and educators, and we're growing fast.
We are seeking a Learning Manager to serve as a key connector within the JLC ecosystem, supporting our partner learning organizations, learners, and educators with attentive, proactive, and relationship-centered care. This role is the operational and relational backbone of JLC, ensuring that learners, educators, and partner organizations have a seamless, high-quality experience.
You'll work closely with and in direct support of the Director, Learning, who sets the vision and strategy for how every learner and educator experiences JLC. Your job is to bring that vision to life on the ground: managing partner organization relationships, driving learner recruitment alongside those partners, supporting learners throughout their entire journey, and ensuring the department runs smoothly and efficiently. You're excited about creating meaningful educational opportunities for others, you believe in this mission, and you find deep satisfaction in making complex systems work for real people.
Who You Are and What You'll Do:
- You deliver a consistently high-quality experience for every constituent in the JLC ecosystem
- You ensure that each JLC constituent (learners, educators, and partner organizations) has the materials, support, and processes they need to have a great experience.
- Working within the standards and vision set by the Director of Learning, you identify areas for improvement and implement changes quickly.
- You care about enabling high-quality Jewish learning for individuals throughout the Jewish world, and it shows in every interaction.
- You are a builder, and you're flexible.
- You like experimenting and trying new things, and you're not afraid to learn a new skill or tackle something for the first time.
- You'll take on special projects based on departmental needs, your expertise, and your interests — and you'll bring creativity, initiative, autonomy, and efficiency to whatever lands on your plate.
- The Director, Learning is your manager and thought partner; you're their most trusted executor on the ground.
- You can connect with Jews and non-Jews of all backgrounds.
- You understand the details of Jewish life and of different ways of being Jewish.
- You're nonjudgmental and able to connect with leaders and individuals from a large array of backgrounds.
- You know how to customize your tone and approach to each audience's needs, whether you're onboarding a new learner, supporting a partner organization's liaison, or welcoming an educator into the community.
- You shepherd learners through their entire JLC journey.
- The Director, Learning, designs and owns the learner journey framework. You execute it, and you make it feel warm, personal, and seamless.
- From intake through supporting a learner to change educators, and sometimes through transition to independent learning, you'll help ensure every learner's experience is responsive and well-coordinated.
- You'll manage onboarding logistics, facilitate matching between learners and educators, send check-ins and milestone communications, support exit surveys, and handle day-to-day learner needs as they arise.
- You are often the first voice a learner hears from JLC — and you make that count.
- You are the day-to-day relationship hub for our partner learning organization.
- The Director, Learning owns JLC's strategic partnerships at the organizational level. You're the one who makes those partnerships work every day.
- You'll serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a portfolio of JLC's 55+ partner organizations — answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and making sure each partner feels supported and informed.
- You'll build and maintain strong relationships with organizational liaisons, share regular data and impact updates, and help partners understand and articulate the value JLC brings to their organizations and their people.
- You drive learner recruitment at partner organizations.
- Growing JLC's learner base is a core part of this role. Working in close coordination with the Director, Learning, you'll plan and execute learner recruitment campaigns at both new and existing partner organizations — developing materials, preparing pitch content, joining conversations, and supporting partners in getting their staff and board members excited about and enrolled in JLC learning.
- You'll track recruitment progress, identify organizations where engagement is lagging, and bring creative, proactive solutions to close the gap.
- You'll support new organization prospecting.
- The Director, Learning owns JLC's strategy for recruiting new partner organizations. You'll support that strategy through execution: writing outreach materials, preparing pitch content, helping develop recruitment approaches, and joining prospecting conversations alongside the Director.
- You'll bring energy and clarity to those conversations, and you'll help move new organizations from interested to enrolled.
- You plan and manage partner organization convenings.
- JLC's partner organizations benefit from connecting with each other: sharing what's working, learning from peers, and building a sense of community around Jewish learning. You'll plan and oversee gatherings that bring partner organizations together, managing logistics, content coordination, and follow-up. These convenings are an important part of how JLC deepens its relationships with the organizations it serves, and you'll bring creativity and care to making them valuable.
- You support our educator community.
- JLC's 160+ educators are the heart of the learning experience. You'll help manage day-to-day communications with the educator community: distributing updates, coordinating scheduling and logistics, tracking engagement, and escalating issues to the Director as needed.
- You'll work within the educator management systems and standards the Director establishes, and you'll help the educator community feel connected, informed, and valued.
- You keep the department's systems humming and make them better.
- The Director, Learning builds the operational infrastructure; you own its day-to-day execution and continuous improvement. You'll maintain data hygiene and daily operations in JLC's CRM and learning management platforms: updating records, generating reports, and tracking key metrics like growth, attrition, and learner milestones.
- You'll prepare written memos and materials for internal use.
- And when you spot a workflow that could work better, you don't just flag it – you bring a proposed solution to the Director, Learning, and help implement it. JLC is growing quickly, and you'll actively contribute to refining processes and structures as we scale.
- You have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of post-undergraduate, full-time professional experience in account management, client success, program management, education, or a related field .
- A genuine love of connecting with people : you chat easily, learn what motivates others, and build individual relationships that last.
- A track record of managing multiple relationships simultaneously with warmth, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
- Experience with recruitment , outreach , or business development: you know how to excite people about new opportunities and move them to action.
- Experience working with CRM systems or data platforms ; comfort with data entry, reporting, and keeping records up to date.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills: your analytical and project management skills are just as strong as your interpersonal ones.
- Experience creating and nurturing in-person and online communities.
- A solutions-oriented mindset: when something doesn't work, you identify it quickly, bring a solution, and help make it better.
- Deep connection to the Jewish community; experience working or volunteering in the Jewish professional world strongly preferred.
- Flexibility with work hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed to connect with participants and educators, as well as occasional travel.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- You embrace and demonstrate the Mem Mindset: Be the Difference, Connect & Listen, Invest Wisely, Embrace the Unknown, Own It!, Value People, and Work Well, Live Well, and Have Fun!
