Software Engineer AI/ML Developer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 3+ years of applied experience
• Practical, hands-on background delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience building, deploying, and supporting machine learning platforms or infrastructure
• Proficiency in Python and at least one ML framework such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn, along with data processing tools like Spark, Pandas, or SQL
• Experience with cloud-based ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, or Azure ML, or with on-premises ML infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to lead effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, with clear standards for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency/security expectations, plus experience coaching engineers on safe adoption
• Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems
• Practical cloud-native experience
• Familiarity with Databricks for scalable data engineering and ML platform integration
• Experience with Snowflake for cloud data warehousing and analytics
• Exposure to Snorkel AI for programmatic labeling and training data management
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Airflow
• Familiarity with feature stores, model registries, and ML metadata management
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures

• We design creative software solutions, including development and technical troubleshooting, and tackle problems using approaches beyond routine methods
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
• We promote team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes
• We apply tools from the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered by automation
• We identify opportunities to remove or automate recurring remediation work to strengthen the stability of our applications and systems
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and fit within our systems and information architecture
• We design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with awareness of upstream and downstream systems and technical impact
• We use technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and resolve basic technical issues
• We gather, analyze, and interpret large, diverse data sets to identify issues and support secure, stable application development decisions
• We learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills to build secure and stable code and systems
