Director of Supply Chain Hybrid | San Diego County Preferred Salary: $140,000 - $175,000 DOE + Bonus This is the supply chain role where strategy meets growth—and every decision you make reaches our guests. Why This Role Matters As Director of Supply Chain, you'll lead procurement, sourcing, distribution, logistics, and supplier strategy across the Luna Grill system. You’ll partner closely with Culinary, Operations, Marketing, Development, Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure our restaurants have the right products, at the right cost, from the right partners—every single day. Your work will directly impact: Food Cost & Profitability Restaurant Operations New Restaurant Openings Menu Innovation & LTO Launches Supplier Partnerships Sustainability Initiatives Long-Term Growth Strategy What You’ll Do Lead Supply Chain Strategy Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support Luna Grill's continued growth and long-term business objectives. Optimize sourcing, procurement, distribution, and logistics programs across multiple markets. Build scalable infrastructure to support future restaurant expansion. Own Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Manage a $50M+ purchasing portfolio across food, packaging, smallware, and operational categories. Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations. Identify cost savings opportunities while protecting quality, service, and brand standards. Analyze commodity markets and proactively manage risks across proteins, produce, dairy, grains, and packaging. Manage Distribution & Logistics Oversee distributor and broadline partnerships across multiple distribution centers. Ensure contract compliance, service excellence, inventory optimization, and operational readiness. Lead distributor forecasting, performance reviews, negotiations, and renewal processes. Support every New Restaurant Opening with flawless supply chain execution. Partner Across the Business Collaborate with Culinary to commercialize new menu items and limited-time offerings. Partner with Operations to solve restaurant challenges and improve execution. Work alongside Finance to manage budgets, forecasts, rebates, and cost controls. Support Development and Facilities teams as new locations come online. Lead & Develop the Team Provide leadership, direction, and coaching for the Supply Chain team. Create accountability, role clarity, and professional development opportunities. Build a high-performing culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and results. Drive Data-Driven Decision Making Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools that improve visibility and performance. Monitor supplier scorecards, commodity trends, distribution metrics, and operational risks. Present recommendations and business insights to senior leadership and executive stakeholders. What Makes You a Great Fit We're looking for a leader who combines strategic forward thinking with hands-on execution. You likely bring: 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience within multi-unit restaurants, foodservice, hospitality, or related industries. 5+ years leading teams and supplier relationships at scale. Deep expertise in restaurant purchasing, procurement, sourcing, distribution, and logistics. Strong knowledge of food and beverage supply chains and commodity markets. Experience supporting rapid unit growth and new restaurant openings. Proven success negotiating supplier agreements and driving measurable cost savings. Experience managing broadline distributor relationships across multiple regions. Exceptional communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills. Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities. Advanced Excel and ERP/MRP systems experience.
