Corporate Quotations Specialist-Must be local and reside near McKinney TX (DFW area)

The Corporate Quotations Specialist , reporting to the Purchasing Manager, supports all aspects of the A&D's quotation's activity to efficiently and cost-effectively support the land business unit.

Activities and responsibilities of the Corporate Quotations Specialist (Remote) include:

• Sourcing, quoting, and pricing items accurately, competitively, and profitably.

• Utilize established pricing systems & sourcing procedures.

• Communicate effectively with AFC Industries colleagues at all levels on quote opportunities to obtain information to enhance our chances of obtaining the business. Updates Quote Log with current information and status of quotations.

• Analyze quotation/supplier information to offer most competitive and profitable response.

• Negotiate with suppliers to provide best cost / lead time / and terms on a quotation.

• Support, monitor and ensure compliance to internal purchasing policies, procedures and best practices.

• Develop expertise and knowledge as it relates to product and supplier capabilities. Identify and source new suppliers as needed. Utilizes supplier selection process based on price, quality, support, capacity and reliability.

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.

• Facilitate timely responses to quotations to the Sales Dept, ensuring an on-time, accurate, and competitive response to all customer pricing inquiries.

• Perform other functions and projects as directed by the Corporate Quotations Manager.

• Other duties as assigned.

Professional Experience Requirements:

Education :

High School diploma required. College degree in business, materials management, operations management, engineering or related field a strong plus.

Work Experience:

• 1-2 years minimum experience in fastener industry or industrial distribution preferred. Knowledge of import sources a strong plus.

• Strong negotiation skills.

• Working knowledge of laws and regulations relating to procurement and contracts.

• Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain systems, LEAN principles of planning and MRP/ERP systems often required. Financial acumen.

• High competency level in MS Office applications.

Position: Full-time, McKinney, TX (eligible for REMOTE/Work from Home)

Work Hours: 8AM-5PM (CT), Monday-Friday

Targeted Salary: $65,000-$85,000 (depending upon experience)
