Position: Pastry Cook – Night Production
Location: Long Island City, Queens (just 2 blocks from the 7 train)
Schedule: 4 days per week | 6pm-2am
We’re looking for a talented Pastry Cook to join our Night Pastry Production team! At Amy’s Bread, we’re passionate about creating delicious, hand-crafted pastries made with skill and heart.
If you enjoy scratch baking and working with laminated dough's, we'd love to meet you. This role includes producing muffins, scones, biscuits, danishes, and baking croissants alongside an experienced pastry team.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and bake our signature muffins, scones, biscuits, danishes, and croissants
- Accurately measure ingredients and follow recipes
- Mix, portion, cut, and scoop batters and doughs
- Maintain quality, consistency, and food safety standards
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and production-ready
- Work closely with the pastry team to meet daily production goals
- Previous experience as a Pastry Cook, Baker, or in a similar bakery production role
- Strong measuring, mixing, and pastry preparation skills
- Someone who enjoys hands-on, detail-oriented work
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in a cool kitchen environment, and remain focused in a fast-paced setting
- A positive team player who learns quickly, communicates effectively, and takes pride in producing high-quality products
- Reliability, strong attendance, and a willingness to grow within the team
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys production baking, values consistency and quality, and is looking to build their skills as part of a supportive pastry team. Formal pastry or culinary training is a plus, but passion, precision, and consistency are what really make you stand out.
