Job Description

Job Summary:
The Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. They operate ultrasound equipment, including GE US machines, and ensure high-quality imaging for medical evaluation.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all general ultrasound studies, including obstetric and gynecological scans.
• Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.
• Accurately document and interpret ultrasound results for review by physicians.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain current certification, including BLS.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to prioritize and manage patient appointments.
• Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies for patient care and safety.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least two years of recent ultrasound experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Hold a current ultrasound license and BLS certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic electronic health record systems.
• Be able to perform OB, general ultrasound, and specialty studies confidently.
• Exhibit excellent communication and technical skills.
