Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) available for a travel assignment in Middlebury, Vermont. Start date 10/01/2026 for 7 weeks. 12-hour day shifts, three days per week. Weekly pay range $3,056 to $3,225. Guaranteed hours are not specified. Work setting is a hospital with a birthing unit; Vermont nursing license required at submission, with BLS and NRP certification, and focused L&D experience to support Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and newborn care, including monitoring maternal and fetal status and supporting labor and delivery.
- Administer medications and analgesia as prescribed; assess responses and manage postpartum and newborn needs.
- Perform newborn assessments, assist with immediate stabilization, and support breastfeeding and family education.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and the care team; respond to obstetric emergencies with appropriate protocol and teamwork.
- Document care in the electronic health record (Epic) accurately and in a timely manner; communicate changes in patient condition to the team.
- Adhere to infection control practices, maintain patient safety, and prepare patients and families for discharge per unit standards.
- Schedule considerations include coverage for every other weekend and two of the four major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day) as needs arise.

Requirements
- Vermont RN license required at time of submission
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn) experience
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Education: current Registered Nurse (RN) degree
- Ability to work in a hospital birthing unit and meet unit/patient care needs
