Senior Finance Associate

Our client is an early-stage life sciences company combining advanced diagnostics, immunology, and technology to help improve decision-making across clinical trials and drug development. The company has already achieved meaningful commercial traction, supports 30+ clinical trials , has grown revenue approximately 300% year-over-year , and is scaling from a lean team of approximately 13 employees. Why This Is a Great Opportunity This is not a traditional back-office finance position. You'll work directly with the CEO and have the opportunity to own critical financial processes while helping build the finance infrastructure of a rapidly scaling company. You'll have exposure to financial strategy, forecasting, unit economics, board reporting, investor communications, and future fundraising—with the potential to grow into broader finance leadership as the organization scales. What You'll Do Own the month-end close and financial reporting process , including reconciliations and financial statement accuracy. Build financial models from scratch, including production cost, unit economics, margin, runway, and profitability models . Develop forecasts and scenario analyses to support strategic business decisions. Prepare board packages, investor updates, and fundraising materials . Oversee accounts payable/receivable and coordinate with the company's outsourced bookkeeping partner. Support additional operational finance initiatives such as supply forecasting, compensation modeling, and cap table management as the business grows. What We're Looking For 3–5 years of experience in finance operations, accounting, FP&A, or a related finance function. Demonstrated ability to build financial models from scratch —not simply maintain existing templates. Direct, end‑to‑end ownership of month‑end close , including reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial statement accuracy. Advanced proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets . Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial analysis. Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working autonomously. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial information for executives and other non‑finance stakeholders. Comfortable operating in a fast‑moving, high‑ownership startup environment . Biotech, life sciences, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, clinical trials, CRO, or healthcare experience is highly preferred .
