Lead Software Engineer Remote - Eden Prairie

Salary: $112,700 - 193,200 per year Requirements:

• We require an undergraduate degree or equivalent practical experience.
• We expect at least 10 years of hands-on software development experience.
• We require 8+ years of development experience with Scala, Python, JSON, and web services.
• We require 5+ years working with distributed systems technologies such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, or Snowflake.
• We require 5+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL.
• We require 5+ years of API development experience using Python or Java.
• We require 3+ years of infrastructure services experience on at least one major cloud platform, with Azure preferred.
• We require 1+ years of experience scaling tools such as ADF or Airflow.
• We expect demonstrated experience mentoring and supporting the growth of others.
• We require experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Preferred: 4+ years of experience with Kafka or messaging services.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience with NoSQL databases.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Preferred: healthcare industry experience.
• Preferred: a strong understanding of service-oriented architecture concepts.

• We design, code, test, document, and maintain high-quality, scalable big data solutions.
• We help drive agile practices and mentor junior team members.
• We research, assess, and implement new tools, frameworks, and design patterns to strengthen our big data platform.
• We identify gaps in current solutions and look for opportunities to improve them.
• We define and build APIs for integration with multiple enterprise data sources.
• We translate customer needs into solution designs.
• We produce accurate development effort estimates to support project and resource planning.
• We collaborate with management, quality assurance, architecture, and other development teams.
• We write technical documentation and contribute to production support.
• We take part in prototyping, design reviews, and code reviews.
• We keep our skills current through ongoing self-directed learning.
