Position: Manufacturing Technician II Location: Madison WI 53711 Duration: 12 Months Job Type: Temporary Assignment Work Type: Onsite Shift: Monday To Friday From 07:00 AM To 03:00 PM Summary: The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for building, 25 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly. testing, and calibrating complex scientific instruments and assemblies to support production goals. The role involves working with mechanical, electrical, and optical components while following work instructions and quality standards. The technician will collaborate with team members to solve problems and support continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Build, test, and calibrate assemblies and install them into final instrument builds. Ensure completed instruments meet required quality standards. Follow work instructions for mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies. Perform material handling and inventory verification. Communicate effectively with team members. Collaborate with colleagues to solve problems and drive continuous improvement. Contribute to a positive and productive team culture. Required Skills: High school diploma or equivalent required. 1+ year of manufacturing or production experience preferred. Experience with mechanical assembly preferred. Experience using various hand tools preferred. Soldering experience preferred. Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality standards. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to meet physical requirements, including exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 25 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
