Sparrows Point, MD 1600 Sparrows Point Blvd Sparrows Point, MD 21219, USA Job Overview Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C., is hiring an Equipment Coordinator in Sparrows Point, Maryland. The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for loading, unloading, receiving/releasing all rental equipment and attachments (new or used sales and service machines as well in co-locations), maintaining the rental yard for easy access, and directing the delivery of new equipment and returns. Previous experience operating construction equipment and a forklift is required. Requirements Must have ability to operate heavy equipment in a safe manner. Must be self‑directed, organized and able to interact with peers. Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize competing demands. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Must be able to work additional hours to meet business and customer needs. Must have an excellent driving record. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must have good interpersonal and customer‑service skills. Must possess good organizational skills and attention to detail. Must have good time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines. Promote a positive customer experience. Physical requirements must be met for the Equipment Coordinator job, including frequently sitting for extended periods of time. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Starting Compensation Range: $26.39 – $33.18 per hour Actual base pay may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, education, geographic location, and other business needs. In addition to base pay, total compensation may include participation in performance‑based incentive programs, such as discretionary or non‑discretionary plans.
