Portfolio Analyst

Overview Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Portfolio Analyst. Primary Function: The Portfolio Analyst supports Hudson Valley Credit Union's Enterprise Delivery Office (EDO) by coordinating portfolio intake, maintaining governance standards, administering portfolio management tools, and supporting enterprise portfolio reporting and insights. This role supports consistent governance, accurate tracking, and portfolio transparency across business and technology initiatives. The Portfolio Analyst works closely with Portfolio Managers, Program Managers, Project Managers, business stakeholders, and technology leaders to drive process consistency, improve portfolio visibility, and support continuous improvement of EPDO practices. Responsibilities Support enterprise intake and demand management from idea submission through prioritization and approval. Review incoming requests for completeness, accuracy, and readiness. Coordinate with business and technology stakeholders to gather required intake information. Maintain intake backlogs, status tracking, prioritization records, and approval documentation. Support portfolio planning activities and governance reviews. Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EDO methodologies, frameworks, and governance processes. Ensure governance artifacts remain current and aligned with organizational needs. Create and maintain process workflows, standards, procedures, templates, and job aids. Support consistent project, program, and portfolio management practices across the organization. Identify process improvement opportunities that increase efficiency and portfolio transparency. Monitor adherence to EDO processes, standards, templates, and stage-gate requirements. Conduct periodic reviews of projects and programs to assess governance compliance. Identify gaps, risks, or inconsistencies and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders. Track governance metrics and provide insights on process adoption and maturity. Support portfolio audits, regulatory reviews, and internal assessments as needed. Administer Monday.com and related portfolio management tools for the EDO. Configure and maintain boards, dashboards, forms, workflows, permissions, and automations. Partner with stakeholders, vendors, and solution partners to implement enhancements and resolve tool issues. Provide user support, training, and guidance on portfolio management tools. Recommend enhancements that improve data quality, usability, automation, and reporting capabilities. Prepare portfolio reports, dashboards, scorecards, and executive presentation materials. Collect, validate, and analyze portfolio data to support decision-making. Produce recurring portfolio metrics and KPIs for EDO leadership and executive stakeholders. Support portfolio reviews, governance committees, and executive reporting forums. Identify trends, risks, resource constraints, and delivery insights across the portfolio. Develop and distribute EDO communications, announcements, process updates, and stakeholder materials. Prepare executive presentations, training materials, and governance communications. Keep stakeholders informed of process changes, reporting requirements, and portfolio updates. Promote awareness and adoption of EDO standards and practices across the organization. Support portfolio planning, capacity planning, prioritization, and roadmap maintenance. Participate in initiatives focused on EDO maturity, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Perform additional portfolio, governance, reporting, and administrative activities as assigned. Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field required PMO, Project Management, or Portfolio Management certification (CAPM, PMP, PfMP, PMI-PMOCP, or similar) preferred Minimum 3 years PMO, portfolio management, project coordination, business operations, or related function required Experience supporting portfolio management, demand management, governance, or strategic planning activities required Experience working with portfolio management tools such as Monday.com, Planview, Clarity, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms preferred Experience with workflow automation tools and business process mapping preferred Experience supporting enterprise governance or portfolio management functions within financial services or a regulated environment preferred Why Choose HVCU?
