Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse – New York

Start Date: October 13, 2026

Location: New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, every other weekend required

Highlights

• 16-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit with complex, high-acuity patient population including sepsis, ARDS, multi-organ failure, post-cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Advanced technology experience including CRRT, IABP, Impella, ECMO, and EKOS
• Patient ratio of 1:2 with occasional 1:1 assignments based on acuity
• Epic charting system required
• 24 hours of comprehensive orientation provided
• First-time travelers welcomed; must reside more than 75 miles from facility

Requirements

• Active New York State RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience with 1:2 patient ratios
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
• Experience with ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP management, ABG interpretation, and ETT/NT suctioning
• Strong competency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Knowledge of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, and isolation precautions
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Candidates must be available for assignment with no more than 10 days of requested time off
