Underwriter

Citibank, seeks an Underwriter for its New York, New York location. Responsibilities include initiating and underwriting the credit approval processes of margin loans, derivative transactions, and interim credit applications for Citi Private Bank. You will provide annual reviews of existing credit relationships, ensure timely completion of credit transactions within standard turnaround timeframes, and enforce credit risk policies, standards, and operating procedures. You will conduct due diligence assessments, identify off‑underwriting terms and target‑market counterparties, ensure mandatory disclosures, recommend credit extension approvals within first line of defense limits, and support second line of defense approvals. Additionally, you will participate in ISDA CSA negotiations, coordinate margin call deferrals, monitor and remediate limit excesses, propose risk mitigation action plans, and review Citi’s risk and reporting infrastructure to ensure accurate reporting and monitoring. Qualifications Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 2 years of experience as a Credit Risk Senior Analyst, Financial Analyst, or related position in a global financial institution. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience is acceptable. Full span of experience must include quantitative methods of finance, financial modeling (DCF, Three‑Statement, Merger), financial statement analysis, collateral analysis, and credit memo preparation.
