Accounting Manager | Tampa, FL | Competitive Compensation + Full BenefitsThis newly created Accounting Manager role at our dynamic client company is a terrific opportunity for the CPA who desires a mix of technical accounting and operational growth with the ability to impact the finance function during a key period of growth. You will work closely with senior accounting leadership to create policies and procedures, own core month-end close activities, and play a hands-on role in purchase accounting and lease accounting under ASC 805 and ASC 842. You will also be involved in integration work with acquisitions including opening balance sheet preparation and onboarding of new companies into the accounting infrastructure. Hybrid role based in Tampa with occasional travel, built for someone who is organized, detailed, and excited by a fast pace and growing company. Terrific benefit package!Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with month-end closeMaintain accurate general ledger activity and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policiesReview cash transactions, AP activity, and other recurring itemsMaintain, reconcile, and review balance sheet accountsAssist in preparing and reviewing opening balance sheet schedules for newly acquired entitiesGather and validate acquisition-related financial dataCoordinate with the technical accounting function to ensure accurate application of purchase accountingMaintain lease schedules and ensure completeness and accuracy of lease dataReview lease modifications, new leases, and terminations; assist with gathering documentation during acquisitions and onboarding of new entitiesServe as a point of contact for accounting system access and basic troubleshooting; support training and onboarding for new users across accounting toolsImplement and maintain proper documentation for internal controls and audit readinessIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencyCollaborate cross-functionallyAd hoc analyses, reporting requests, and special projectsRequirementsBachelor's degree in AccountingCPA or actively pursuing CPA5+ years of accounting experience; Big 4 or national firm preferredStrong understanding of US GAAP, including working knowledge of ASC 805 and 842Proven experience with month-end close in a fast-paced environmentAdvanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data setsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize effectively across competing deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skills — including the ability to explain accounting concepts clearly to non-accounting stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindsetExperience with cloud-based ERP systems, close management platforms, or lease accounting softwareBackground in an M&A-heavy or high-growth environment a plusAt Taylor White, we specialize in Accounting & Finance roles in Tampa Bay.
