TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68105!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Oncology Duration: 13 or 26-week contract options Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of prior nursing experience in a large, urban hospital License: Active Nursing License required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS and Chemotherapy preferred Must-Have: - Experience with EPIC charting - Ability to care for mixed acuity patients Description: This position is for a registered nurse in a specialty care unit serving adult oncology patients. The unit has a capacity of 36 beds for patients receiving chemotherapy or undergoing complex medication administration. Nurses must be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the facility. The staff-to-patient ratio is 1:4 during the day and 1:5 at night. Nurses are required to care for up to five Med Surg patients. Travelers do not administer chemotherapy. BLS is required, and ACLS and chemotherapy certification are preferred. RNs must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital setting. The position requires knowledge of managing medication drips and experience with charting in EPIC. First-time travelers will not be accepted unless they have 2 years of experience in a Level I Academic Medical Center. Nurses may float to various other units as needed. Weekend shifts will be required, with a total of 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period. Travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the winter holiday season. This facility is a 100% nicotine-free environment. The role involves teamwork with other care providers, including LPNs, nurses, and support staff. Nurses will play a critical role in providing care to a diverse range of oncology patients. Candidates must be prepared to adhere to all health and safety protocols.
