Assistant Manager – 44+ Unit SRO Properties
Properties: Hotel Madrid, Grand Oriente, and South Park

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The Assistant Resident Manager is responsible for the daily administration, maintenance and full occupancy of the units for the residential community in San Francisco. Duties include supervision of staff as well as contractual workers, accessibility by pager for after-hours emergencies, rent collection & posting, bank deposits, tenant selection, maintaining waiting lists, move-in/out procedures, completing lease agreements, maintaining tenant files, tenant relations, re-certifications, processing legal notices, overseeing maintenance, making unit inspections, keeping records and attending required meetings, training seminars and workshops.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 plus years of affordable housing property management experience, preferably with HUD, Tax Credit or other low income housing programs.
• 1 plus years of experience supervising staff.
• Knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping skills for maintaining resident accounts receivable ledgers
• Understanding of and sensitivity to a diverse, low-income population
• Organizational abilities, record-keeping and filing skills
• Maturity and ability to handle emergencies, resident concerns, and complaints while meeting necessary time restriction
