About the Role:

At SAGE Counseling, the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) serves as the senior executive responsible for overseeing the clinical operations and strategy within the healthcare organization. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care by integrating clinical best practices with organizational goals. The CCO leads clinical teams, drives innovation in care delivery, and fosters collaboration across departments to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. They are instrumental in shaping clinical policies, compliance with regulatory standards, and advancing the organization's mission through evidence-based practices. Ultimately, the CCO acts as a bridge between clinical staff and executive leadership to align clinical initiatives with business objectives and community health needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters degree, or higher, from an accredited institution in psychology, counseling, education, social work, criminal justice, human services, or a management field. 
• Active and unrestricted Behavioral Health License from BBHE.
• At least 5 years of broad management experience in a behavioral health or social service agency. 
• At least 6 years of experience in supervising counseling or social/human services, with expertise in social/human services program development and evaluation. 
• Extensive experience and skills in staff supervision, training, and managerial principles and practices.
• Thorough knowledge of the BMFL regulations and all requirements of professional clinical services. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement clinical strategies that enhance patient care quality and safety across all service lines.
• Lead and mentor clinical leadership teams, promoting professional development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align clinical operations with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee clinical quality assurance programs, ensuring compliance with healthcare laws, accreditation standards, and best practices.
• Drive innovation in clinical services by evaluating emerging healthcare technologies and evidence-based treatment protocols.
• Manage clinical budgets and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency without compromising care standards.
• Serve as the primary clinical spokesperson for the organization in interactions with regulatory bodies, partners, and the community.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to improve care coordination and patient experience.
