Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to assess clients’ mental health, documenting findings meticulously from the initial consultation through to discharge from treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to develop personalized treatment and recovery plans tailored to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate dynamic individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to help clients achieve their goals.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, physicians, and fellow mental health professionals to create cohesive intervention strategies that address the complexities of clients' issues.

• Follow up on referrals and coordinate care for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity and holistic support.

• Work with clients and their support systems, including family members and primary caregivers, to educate and assist them in managing behavioral challenges effectively.

You will be working with a broad range of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. We serve individuals from diverse backgrounds, and your ability to engage with various demographics will enhance the quality of care we provide. Our telehealth model emphasizes accessibility, making it imperative that you can connect with clients empathetically and effectively, regardless of their location.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Currently active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Pass the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Excellent proficiency in electronic health record systems (preferably AVATAR) for efficient documentation and client management.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working in mental health counseling, with a focus on individual, couples, and group therapy.

• A strong understanding of physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders, to contribute to comprehensive treatment planning.

• Familiarity with the guidelines from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

• A solid grasp of the effects of pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical professionals will enhance your effectiveness in managing client care.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal abilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflective of your experience and qualifications.
