Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening and night shifts with 12-hour and 8-hour shifts as needed (1500-0330 or 1900-0730). Weekend and holiday rotation required. Patient ratio of 4:1.

• High-acuity, 67-room Emergency Department serving over 60,000 patients annually with combined adult and pediatric populations including neonates through geriatrics
• Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Comprehensive Cardiac Center with advanced ECPR/ECMO, transplant, oncology, and burn programs
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
• Magnet-designated academic medical center recognized as a leading hospital and teaching institution
• 20 hours of orientation provided with floating required as needed
• Travel experience required; local candidates within 50 miles not accepted

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA only), and TNCC
• Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma and charge experience preferred
• Must pass telemetry examination prior to start date with strict passing criteria (100% identification of lethal rhythms, 80% overall passing score)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
