Job Title: Skilled Laborer Job Description

This role supports a precast and infrastructure manufacturing facility that builds aluminum forms used by construction companies to pour concrete. Skilled laborers contribute across multiple areas, including rebar shaping, general production, patching, welding support, forklift operation support, and warehouse materials kitting, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output in a construction-like environment.

• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete daily tasks.
• Shape and prepare rebar according to work instructions and blueprints.
• Build aluminum boxes and other concrete forms used in precast and infrastructure projects.
• Move forms and heavy materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the facility.
• Perform general production duties in a manufacturing environment, supporting concrete and precast operations.
• Assist with patching and finishing work on precast products as needed.
• Support warehouse and materials kitting activities, including organizing and staging materials for production.
• Follow detailed work instructions and read blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and construction of forms.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including regular site clean-up activities.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment at all times.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned to support overall production and site operations.

• Demonstrated experience in general labor, construction, or production environments.
• Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in a safe and controlled manner.
• Ability to work with concrete, precast materials, and related construction components.
• Capability to shape rebar and work with metal components as directed.
• Ability to follow written work instructions and read blueprints accurately.
• Comfort with moving and lifting materials and equipment up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Strong attention to safety and adherence to established safety protocols in a manufacturing or construction-like setting.

• Previous experience working for a construction, concrete, and/or precast company is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility that resembles a construction site is an advantage.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, materials kitting, or forklift operation is beneficial.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
• Reliability and willingness to work 8–10 hour shifts, including regular overtime.

The role is based in an indoor and outdoor manufacturing facility that closely resembles a construction site. Team members work around precast concrete operations, metal forms, and heavy materials, requiring consistent attention to safety and situational awareness. The company provides key safety gear, including hard hats, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests, while employees supply their own steel-toe footwear; met guards are provided. Work is performed on a day shift starting at either 5:00 a.m. or 6:00 a.m., with 8–10 hour days Monday through Friday and fairly regular half days on Saturdays, resulting in a busy, fast-paced environment with frequent overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buda, TX.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
