The Nurse Manager provides clinical and operational leadership for nursing services across two substance use treatment programs, supervising RNs, LPNs, Medical Technicians (MTs), and Medical Assistants (MAs) to ensure safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including OASIS, SAHMA, and DEA standards, while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, operational efficiency, and continuous quality improvement to support individuals in recovery from substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership across multiple ambulatory clinic locations , establishing standards for evidence-based, compassionate, patient-centered substance use treatment and overseeing the delivery of safe, high-quality nursing care, including complex and high-risk cases.
• Lead, supervise, and develop nursing and clinical support staff , including RNs, LPNs, and MAs, through hiring, scheduling, orientation, performance management, mentorship, ongoing education, competency development, and coordination of staffing across clinic locations.
• Ensure regulatory, clinical, and safety compliance by developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and evidence-based protocols; overseeing documentation, HIPAA requirements, infection prevention, medication management, and workplace safety; and maintaining readiness for regulatory inspections and audits.
• Drive quality improvement and efficient clinic operations by monitoring clinical and operational KPIs, patient outcomes, safety events, patient flow, triage processes, and resource allocation; identify opportunities for improvement and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary and organizational partners including physicians, advanced practice providers, counselors, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans, facilitate communication and case collaboration, and support the medical and psychosocial needs of patients throughout recovery services.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in a healthcare setting; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge of substance use disorders, behavioral health interventions, medication management, and residential or ambulatory patient care , including the ability to respond effectively to emergent or complex clinical situations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of applicable healthcare regulatory, safety, confidentiality, and accreditation requirements , with experience maintaining compliance and supporting regulatory surveys or audits.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills, including experience managing multiple priorities, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, utilizing electronic health record systems, and supporting quality or performance-improvement initiatives.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing supervisory or management experience , particularly in substance use treatment, behavioral health, residential treatment, or ambulatory care.

• ACLS, CARN, CARN-AP, or other relevant specialty certification .

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent hand and finger use (e.g., to operate a computer keyboard).
• Lifting and carrying items up to 40 lbs. (e.g., boxes, equipment, IV solutions), with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch for tasks such as retrieving items from lower shelves or filing in low drawers.
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, as the position may require.
• Capacity to operate job-related equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Location: Onsite at CARS Residential Campus- 6621 NYS Route 227, Trumansburg, NY 14886

• Shift: Days; rotating Administrator-On-Call
• Travel: 0% Travel can be expected in this role

Pay Range Disclosure:

• Standard Rate of $94,993.60 - $129,459.20 annual salary
