Operating Room Registered Nurse

Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the general well-being of the patient during the operative period
• Act as the patient advocate, reviewing operative permit to ensure correctness of procedure. Functions as a member of the surgical team
• Supervise care of the OR suite and equipment to ensures cleanliness, sterility, operation and availability of all necessary supplies and equipment and assists in opening sterile supplies
• Prepare patient physically, mentally, and emotionally for surgical procedure and anticipates patient care needs during the procedure
• Verify identification of patient according to person, chart, and ID band
• Maintain awareness of OR schedule to ensure patient flow
• Ensure timely turnover of room for next case
• Assist anesthesia provider as required
• Document and maintain patient record and chart to ensure an accurate record of medical treatment

Qualifications:

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing. Associates Degree in Nursing or higher, BSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience in Acute Care OR or Surgical Center as an RN
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Pedi Care After Resuscitation must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
