Event Technical Support Specialist

Our client's IT Operations Team is looking for an Event Technical Support Specialist to support the planning, set-up, and delivery of technology for high-profile organizational meetings and events, as well as end-user services. This role will provide hands-on technical support for event platforms, devices, and productivity systems while delivering a responsive, high-quality experience for staff and VIP attendees. This is a hybrid position requiring extensive, regular out-of-state and overnight travel throughout the year. Responsibilities Provide hands-on technical support and serve as a technical point of contact for event technology, ensuring reliable implementation and strong customer service. Travel regularly to meetings and remote offices to provide on-site technical support including after-hours and on-call rotations. Coordinate with event teams to identify equipment needs and prepare inventories for each event. Document expectations and provide guidance for support staff attending events and delivering remote support. Lead process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and end-user experience. Provide Tier-2-level troubleshooting and support across the end-user computing environment including laptops, mobile devices, collaboration tools, Office 365, Active Directory, printers, and related software. Deliver timely support to end-users and VIPs via phone, in-person, and messaging channels; maintain documentation in a service desk ticketing system. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field, plus experience in a desktop support role providing in-person and remote Tier-2 end-user support; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience supporting end-user hardware (laptops, thin clients, monitors, printers). Experience installing, configuring, and supporting software programs and operating systems. Strong organizational and communication skills for event preparation and coordination with A/V vendors. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time across assigned tasks and projects. Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including weekends and after-hours, throughout the year. Preferred Relevant technology certifications (A+, Network+, Microsoft, Apple).
