The role: The ideal candidate is an outcome-oriented senior technology and delivery executive who built their leadership foundation through meaningful hands-on engineering and/or technical-lead roles such as Senior Engineer, Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Engineering Lead, or comparable positions. Although the role is executive and delivery-focused, the candidate must remain technically current enough to engage senior architects and engineering leaders, probe assumptions, identify architectural and delivery risks, and challenge or redirect solution decisions when required. You pair strong architectural judgment with operational discipline and can engage credibly with business executives, architects, engineers, security leaders, and delivery teams. You demonstrate a calm, authoritative executive presence; communicate with clarity and precision, build confidence with senior insurance stakeholders, and lead large, distributed, multi-vendor teams effectively. architectures, cloud-native platforms, data platforms, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities. Assesses, defends, adapts, and adopts solution approaches based on business value, architecture, security, delivery feasibility, operability, and risk; constructively challenges decisions when needed. What you'll do: Lead multi-program delivery across policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing, distribution, data, analytics, customer experience (CX), and related P&C capabilities. Serve as a trusted advisor to executive client stakeholders; shape transformation strategy, target-state roadmaps, operating models, delivery governance, adoption plans, and pragmatic technology decisions. Own delivery commitments across scope, budget, milestones, dependencies, quality, risks, security, and outcomes; provide clear executive reporting, early issue visibility, and timely escalation management. Establish and lead steering committees, program reviews, and governance forums with clients, partners, vendors, and internal leadership. Apply fit-for-purpose Agile, Scrum, SAFe, hybrid, and traditional delivery approaches across diverse programs and workstreams. Build, lead, mentor, and retain high-performing delivery teams; strengthen capability, succession, accountability, cross-functional collaboration, and effective onsite/offshore/nearshore execution. Respond decisively to delivery misses: acknowledge them without defensiveness, quantify client and business impact, align stakeholders on recovery actions, remove obstacles, and institutionalize lessons learned. Define, monitor, and improve delivery KPIs, including release predictability, quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, operational performance, service stability, and business-value realization. Ensure delivery alignment with information security, data privacy, audit, market conduct, regulatory reporting, responsible AI practices, and applicable insurance compliance requirements. Delivery Scale, Technical Leadership and Commercial Ownership The Delivery Director leads large, multi-workstream transformation and managed-services engagements across geographies and delivery locations. The position carries direct accountability for commercial health and delivery performance, ensuring that client outcomes and Fulcrum Digital’s financial commitments remain aligned. Own program financials, including revenue, margin, cost control, invoicing, forecasting, utilization, financial-risk mitigation, and corrective-action planning. Lead multi-workstream, multi-vendor, multi-geography delivery across onsite, offshore, and nearshore teams; actively manage client, vendor, partner, technical, and business dependencies. Drive solutioning, estimates, staffing plans, transition approaches, contract execution, and statement-of-work (SOW) governance to establish achievable commercial and delivery commitments. Drive account mining, renewals, cross-selling, and identification of cloud, data, automation, AI, managed-services, and broader transformation opportunities. Oversee implementation-to-run transitions, hypercare, managed services, SLAs, incident management, service continuity, and service-improvement plans. Continuously improve productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, release predictability, service stability, and operational efficiency through fact-based governance and corrective action. P&C Insurance SME Expectations: The successful candidate brings deep working knowledge of the P&C insurance value chain and can credibly connect business operations, product strategy, regulatory obligations, and technology modernization decisions. Experience should span personal and commercial lines, including Auto, Homeowners, Property, Casualty, Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Specialty insurance. Policy and product lifecycle: product configuration, rating, quoting, underwriting, issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, servicing, and policy administration. Claims: first notice of loss (FNOL), adjudication, adjuster workflows, reserves, payments, recoveries, subrogation, litigation support, and customer communications. Billing and financial operations: billing, payments, collections, commissions, premium accounting, and reinsurance processes. Distribution and customer engagement: agent/broker channels, direct and digital channels, portals, CRM, sales enablement, and CX modernization. Data, reporting, and compliance: data platforms, analytics, regulatory reporting, audit, privacy, market conduct, and operational reporting. P&C performance measures: premiums, exposures, loss ratio, combined ratio, claim frequency, severity, and reserving. Modernization themes: legacy-platform replacement, cloud migration, API enablement, data transformation, digital channels, automation, core insurance platforms, and responsible AI adoption. Required Experience & Skills: 7+ Years Senior Delivery Leadership: Extensive track record leading progressive technology delivery, program, portfolio, or engineering teams. Strong Technical Foundation: Background as a Senior Engineer, Tech Lead, or Solution Architect with the technical depth to evaluate architecture, cloud, data, API, and AI decisions alongside senior architects. P&C Insurance Domain: Significant experience delivering complex, mission-critical programs across core insurance and digital capabilities in Property & Casualty. Solution Judgment: Proven ability to balance business value, architectural integrity, security, operational readiness, and risk. Large-Scale & Global Leadership: Demonstrated experience driving large, multi-vendor, multi-workstream engagements across onshore, offshore, and nearshore teams. Commercial & P&L Ownership: Direct accountability for program financials, margins, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and resource utilization. Executive Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to advise, influence, and govern alongside C-level and senior client executives. Delivery Methods & Operations: Mastery of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and hybrid frameworks, as well as hypercare, SLA management, and managed services transitions. Accountable Leadership: Documented track record of transparent risk/issue management, recovery planning, and continuous process improvement. Regulatory & Compliance Alignment: Experience driving business adoption while adhering to security, data privacy, audit, and insurance compliance standards. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Scrum, ITIL, cloud, or architecture credentials. Insurance Platforms: Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, or similar core insurance platforms. Global Delivery: Demonstrated success leading distributed delivery models across onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams. AI Governance & Compliance: Experience governing data privacy, responsible AI, model risk management, and secure AI adoption in regulated industries.
