We're looking to add a new teacher in the coming weeks if we find the right person. Come learn more about Small World! Duties for Primary 2 Lead teacher
- Responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
- Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
- Assists in implementing the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Frog Street Curriculum®
- Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
- Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
- Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
- Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
- Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Small World Employee Handbook.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or an active EC-6 Certificate strongly preferred.
- Must meet basic requirements of Texas childcare licensing.
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
- Positive attitude and team player, we're a small group of teachers and work very closely with one another, it's important to bring a certain level of energy to campus on a daily basis.
