Companion Animal Territory Manager - Raleigh, NC

Merck seeks a Territory Manager for the Raleigh, NC companion animal market to drive sales of animal health products across veterinary clinics, shelters, and corporate accounts. The role involves consultative selling, territory planning, and customer relationship management to support the company's animal health division.

Responsibilities

• Engage face-to-face with veterinary clinics, shelters, and corporate account customers to identify needs and present solutions
• Develop and execute territory and account plans with strategic recommendations for account growth and sales opportunities
• Serve as primary contact for key customers, building relationships with decision-makers and influencers across practices
• Analyze monthly sales results, manage expenses within budget, and monitor competitor landscape
• Collaborate with national account managers and distribution partners to drive occupancy and sales growth

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 0-3 years sales experience, or high school diploma with 5+ years relevant work experience
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Demonstrated sales ability and focus on measurable results achievement
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and iPad
• Ability to travel overnight and manage multiple accounts independently
• Knowledge of animal health products and industry trends preferred
• Sales experience in animal health industry preferred
