The Support Services Technician I (SST) will focus on the creation and execution of various parts and assembly repair services. Strong electro-mechanical knowledge is required to enable support of repair and refurbishment processes for complex parts and assemblies. The SST must work with the Support Services Engineer (SSE) to complete assembly repairs and perform continuous improvement of the processes and procedures.

The SST will work through complex repair procedures with little or no supervision. The SST must also be able to perform work to a schedule, and keep the SSE informed of any issues or delays.

Additionally, this role will work through continuous improvement opportunities or quality issues via Corrective and Preventive Action process using 8D-style root-cause analysis. External Subject Mater Experts (SMEs) must be engaged as needed to address any issues. Routine review of open CAPAs - and monitoring of its effectiveness is performed to ensure timely and confident corrections.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand repair project scope and objectives based on qualitative and quantitative requirements.
• Revise repair documentation for continuous improvement, and to ensure alignment to objectives for each project.
• Complete QA reporting documents to ensure as-received and as-repaired status are well documented and presented clearly.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Confidently execute operation, maintenance, and calibration of support equipment.
• Utilize knowledge of quality tools to determine issue root cause and corrective actions.
• Ability to work seamlessly with the SSE and SMEs from multiple departments and suppliers to ensure integrity of operations and product.
• Maintain status tracking and reporting for product workflow.
• Perform detailed failure analysis for any product returns, and present findings clearly in support of CAPA.
• Maintain orderly storage of all documentation, product tracking, QA records, calibration records, training records, etc.
• Work with EH&S to ensure employee safety and environmental standards are held in the highest regard.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma to improve departmental performance.
• Work with the Supply Chain Team to ensure adequate stocking of needed materials.
