• Schedule: Week-on/week-off, home call model
• Shift: 8-bed Level III NICU, including management of high-risk deliveries and neonatal care
• Hours/week: 40+ hours (variable based on schedule)
• Licensure: Board-certified Neonatologist, Must reside within immediate local area
• Experience: Prior neonatal or Level III NICU experience preferred

What You'll Do:

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a Level III NICU and newborn nursery
• Attend and manage high-risk deliveries in collaboration with OB teams
• Deliver patient-centered care to a daily census of approximately 9-11 neonates
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of neonatologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, and respiratory therapists
• Mentor NICU nursing and respiratory teams, especially during growth phases
• Develop and implement clinical protocols to improve care quality
• Participate in quality initiatives and hospital safety efforts
• Support strategic growth and expansion of the NICU program
• Engage with hospital leadership to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Optional participation in moonlighting across Virginia
