Staff Accountant

Location: Ridgefield, NJ Area (Onsite with Hybrid Flexibility After Training to WFM 1 day per week) Employment Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000 based on experience A well-established real estate development and property management company in the Ridgefield, NJ area is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for either a recent Accounting graduate with internship experience looking to launch a career in accounting or an experienced Staff Accountant seeking continued growth in a stable and collaborative environment. Following the training period, employees will have the opportunity to work remotely one day per week . Responsibilities Assist with month-end and year-end close activities Prepare and post journal entries and account adjustments Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Perform bank reconciliations and cash account analysis Prepare and maintain Excel-based schedules and supporting documentation Support billing, cash receipts, and cash management functions Review and code transactions accurately Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc accounting projects Support various accounting functions related to a portfolio of real estate assets Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required Internship or entry-level accounting experience will be considered 3+ years of accounting experience preferred for higher salary ranges Understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience with Yardi software strongly preferred Familiarity with MRI, Yardi conversions, or property accounting systems is a plus Compensation $60,000 - $65,000 for recent graduates with internship experience Up to $85,000 - $90,000 for candidates with strong accounting experience and industry background This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable organization offering long-term career growth, exposure to property accounting, and a flexible hybrid work environment.
