Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Emergency Medicine

As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality healthcare, working closely with a collaborative team to manage acute medical conditions and emergency situations. Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in emergency situations
• Collaborate with nursing staff and specialists to ensure optimal patient care
• Stabilize patients with life-threatening conditions
• Provide clear and concise communication with patients and their families
• Document patient care accurately in medical records
• Adhere to established clinical protocols and guidelines
• Participate in continuous education and training programs
• Assist in the development of emergency care protocols and procedures

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine (preferred)
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
• Ability to make quick decisions and perform under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in emergency settings is a plus
• Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed

Schedule: 12-hour day, night, swing shifts

No call required

Average Patient Census: 108 daily, 3942 annually

Case Types: Standard emergency medicine visits

Required Procedures: Standard emergency department procedures

Support Staff: APPs, RNs, and techs

Must be board-certified

BLS and DEA required

Paid travel and expenses
