Airdo Werwas, LLC is seeking litigation attorneys to join its dynamic, nationally recognized practice. We are hiring for both a Litigation Associate Attorney and a Litigation Senior Counsel position. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of litigation experience.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation, including the defense of complex matters such as healthcare-related claims, professional liability, institutional negligence, regulatory-adjacent disputes, and high-exposure tort cases. Experience representing religious organizations, nonprofit institutions, or handling child safety and abuse-related litigation is a plus. Candidates with directly relevant experience are preferred, but attorneys with strong litigation skills in other areas who are interested in transitioning into civil defense work for long-term care providers, nonprofit organizations, religious institutes, and similar clients are encouraged to apply.

 

About the Firm:

Our firm focuses on the defense of complex litigation across a wide range of practice areas, including general and complex tort matters, healthcare liability, insurance coverage, and commercial litigation. We also maintain an active municipal and local government practice and advise clients on real estate development and other transactional matters. In addition, we are privileged to serve as National Coordinating Counsel for nonprofit and religious organizations throughout the country.

 

What We Offer:

1. Competitive Compensation: $110,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. J.D. from ABA accredited law school, with strong academic credentials.
2. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on litigation experience.
3. In good standing with the Illinois bar.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
6. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills.
8. Proven ability to manage cases independently while collaborating as needed with supervising partners.
9. Thrives in a collaborative environment and works effectively with colleagues across practice groups.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Defend and litigate general and complex tort matters, both locally and nationally.
2. Draft, prepare, and handle pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda.
3. Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions.
4. Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency.
5. Prepare and take depositions of parties and expert witnesses.
6. Report directly to clients on all aspects of matters, including case evaluations and status reports.
7. Assist with and participate in court appearances, mediations, and trials.

 

Job Type: Full-time 1,950 Billable Time Requirement
