We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digitally led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business, as well as other initiatives such as Hey, Disney!As a Senior Technical Project Manager you will identify, plan and coordinate a set of related projects within a program and manage their interdependencies in support of specific business strategies. You will also apply project management principles and techniques to lead project schedule, scope, quality, cost and performance risks. The Senior Technical Project Manager will work closely with cross-discipline technology teams, leadership and business partners to understand technical and business direction, milestones and budget, as well as provide thought leadership to project management team.The Senior Technical Project Manager will report to the Manager, Technical Project Management. This role supports the Disney Consumer Products (DCP) portfolio (Branded Retail and Stores, Licensing and Publishing).What You'll DoDrives execution and delivery of technical projects through full delivery life cycle ensuring project is delivered timely and on-budget.Works with engineering teams, including Software Engineers, Product Managers, Architects, and leadership to establish processes across all program areas that will ensure success on strategically prioritized projects and improve efficiency.Defines, optimizes, and manages Agile project management ceremonies and processes for large project teams.Maintain monthly forecast submissions, including adjustments to resource allocations, vendor payment schedules, and forecasts for partner teamsConduct regular program status meetings with all partners, ensuring needs and requirements are metBuild program reports and dashboards for program management, sponsors, and partnersMonitors & adjusts program plan to respond to unplanned changes, ensuring program is progressing to meet business goalsAct as a primary liaison among multiple teams, including Product Management, Design, Technology, vendors, and other key functional delivery teamsLead project delivery by coordinating cross-functional dependencies, resolving blockers, and managing RAID to ensure milestones stay on trackEscalate key issues and risks to ensure timely resolution and mitigationEnsure proper project closure including lessons learned, transition and hand-off to production operations support, and final financial reportingOwn Jira and Confluence administration, governance, and executive reporting, ensuring consistent Agile processes, traceability, and delivery visibilityDrive roadmap planning, dependency mapping, and infrastructure migration coordination using Advanced Roadmaps and aligned tracking artifactsSupport cross-functional teams through training, coaching, and program-level coordination across Scrum teams and vendorsSupport Jira Cloud migration readiness, including cleanup, process alignment, and adoption supportRequired Qualifications & SkillsMust have minimum of 5 years of technical project/program management experience working with technical teams developing enterprise class solutionsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Info Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.Understanding of Cloud, APIs, services, database technologies, technologist roles and responsibilities, capabilities & platform dependencies, software development lifecycle, engineering and/or product developmentInfluence and negotiation, communication, professional maturity & organizational savvy, relationship building, dependency mappingMust have extensive hands-on experience with practices such as Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall as well as extensive experience with pragmatic blending of styles to facilitate collaboration and deliveryMust have deep understanding of Agile technical practices, DevOps and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD)Significant experience in coaching and mentoring teams on project management practices including Agile, Lean, Kanban, WaterfallMust have experience and knowledge of AI emerging technologies, nomenclature and strategiesExcellent ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of a projectExperience managing large project budgetsMust have experience with tools such as: Microsoft suite, Keynote, Smartsheet, MyPPM (Clarity), MyJira, Tableau, Claude, and PowerBIPreferred QualificationsProject Management Professional (PMP) CertificationExperience in supporting large-scale, global software development programs
