Project Manager

Our client, a leading financial services company, is hiring a hybrid Senior Program Manager in New York, NY (Monday–Wednesday onsite).

In this role, you will coordinate the end-to-end implementation of regulatory reporting mandates and lead the transition into sustainable post-production support. You will manage international rollout planning, stakeholder alignment, readiness governance, issue intake, escalation, and resolution while coordinating across product, technology, tax, compliance, legal, vendor, and country teams to ensure timely implementations and stable production operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead regulatory implementation programs including scope, milestones, dependencies, readiness gates, requirements, testing, go-live readiness, hypercare, and transition to ongoing support.

• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across tax, compliance, legal, product, technology, vendors, and international country teams while facilitating discovery workshops and regulatory applicability assessments.

• Manage program governance and post-production support including RAID logs, decision logs, action trackers, dependency tracking, issue intake, severity classification, escalations, root-cause analysis, and executive reporting.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of program or project management experience delivering complex, multi-workstream regulatory, tax, compliance, or enterprise technology programs.

• Experience managing international regulatory reporting or compliance implementations across multiple countries or business units, ideally involving transaction reporting, statutory/cross-border reporting, VAT/GST, or SOX/financial controls.

• Strong program governance and stakeholder management skills, including experience with RAID logs, critical path tracking, readiness criteria, executive reporting, and tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or Confluence.

• Experience managing third-party vendors or systems integration partners, including Big 4/advisory firms or software vendors.

• Working knowledge of finance and tax systems landscapes.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification.

Preferred:

• Experience establishing controls or compliance operating models from an early or immature state.

• Agile/Scrum certification in addition to traditional program management credentials.

• Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and managing escalations.
