Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations on patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans targeting short-term milestones and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Administer one-on-one speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop cohesive and holistic care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Provide occasional inpatient speech therapy insights and interventions to maintain continuity throughout the patient's healing journey.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Remain engaged with ongoing professional development and current advancements in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of hire.
